Laura and Lisa Coming to Visit!

Lisa and I are headed down for a short trip this week.  We will arrive Wednesday afternoon and leave Friday afternoon.  We want to be sure we see Grandma since we've not visited her in her new apartment yet.

I hope we'll be able to see lots of you.  We are staying with Uncle John.

Grandma's Stuff

I heard a rumor that there is a bunch of stuff in the basement that our parents have looked through and now they are waiting for the cousin's to go through it.  Have any of you heard when this is supposed to take place?

It's quite cold here in Wisconsin, wind chill was negative 18 when Grandpa and I watched the news at dinner.  I am missing Tennessee right about now!

Other than that I'm doing all right.  Life in Antigo is different than Madison for sure.  It's also strange not to be working any more.  Big life changes for me.  I'm having a hard time finding a part time job here.  The few I've found I have not heard back from and the other jobs are all full time and that's too much with what I'm trying to do to help Grandpa.

Family Vacation?

Does anyone want to take a family vacation?  My mom and I have thought it would be fun to take a Hassler vacation for years and I know we've talked about it as a family, but it never went anywhere.

We're old enough now that we no longer have to rely on our parents to make decisions for us.  So - if we want to do it, let's plan.  Does anyone want to take a family vacation somewhere?  It can be simple or exotic.

How about renting a house somewhere for a long weekend or even a week?  On the beach or somewhere closer to home.  Or what about a cruise?

Let me know if you're interested and talk with your parents - are they interested?

Trip to Wisconsin

Hey Cousins!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas!  I was just thinking we should plan our spring trip to Wisconsin and gets some dates set in stone.   Teensie, when is your spring break?  Mine is March 11-20th.  What days works for everyone?  It doesn't have to be on my SB, I just can only miss one day of work at the most, so it would have to be over a weekend (Friday-Sunday, or Saturday-Monday).  I can't wait to see your store Lisa!

When scanning pictures a while ago I ran across these of the girl cousins minus Lisa and I.  What's the story behind them?  I recognize Tina's room.  And that you all are so cute!  I also remember that fish thing Tina made!

Welcome to the Cousins' Blog!

I'm not totally sure what this blog will evolve into being, but I'm really excited about it.  I think it will be a neat way to keep in touch with one another, to share pictures and memories.  It can also be a neat way to share what's going on with our lives as we're growing older and into new life stages.

Please make a post whenever you have something to share with your cousins.  If you're reading what someone else posted, by all means, make comments!  Comments are the best part of blogging, in my opinion.

If you have a topic you want comments on, make a post and ask for your cousins' opinions!  Have a memory?  Write about it and see what your cousins remember about that same event.  It could get interesting.

I am looking forward to reading what you all have to say, seeing some old and new pictures and laughing with you, even while I'm at my computer miles away from you.
